On October 30, the W6 Western Cuisine Restaurant was opened on the sixth floor of the Exchange Building. Foreign teachers from the Tianjin International School and expatriates invited to the opening ceremony.

W6 Western Cuisine Restaurant is a self-serve eatery which serves mainly Western cuisine.

Wine Party in Nanshi Food Street

The First Tianjin Wine Party will be held on 23rd December at the Nanshi Food Street. It is also the 600th anniversary of the founding of Tianjin and the 20th anniversary Nanshi Food Street.

Confucius is the great thinker, educationist and the founder of Confucian in Chinese history. Sacrifice Confucius Ceremony was called "Country's large ceremony" in ancient China. Tianjin Sacrifice Confucius Ceremony was held in Wen Temple ( Confucius temple) on 12th, Nov. Some peculiar ceremony appeared in Tianjin. This event has great meaning of memorializing the sage and exchanging the culture.

WeiGuoDao Cross Bridge Finished

The important project---Weiguodao cross bridge projece of City center expressway has successfully completed and opened to traffic recently. This project located in the greeting lines of Junction of Kunlun road and Weiguodao, 1500 meters length from north to south, 1400 meter from west to east, which include 2 main lines and 12 circuits that improved the transportation flux of weiguodao and around areas.

The yellow taxis or "Huang MianDi" has been choice of many people when they go out. According to the transportation department, there are 31,556 taxies in Tianjin and only 5,213 "Huang Miandi " left. These taxis will be completely phased out before the national holidays in 2005.

A Halloween Party held in Broadies Tavern

Broadies Tavern held a big Halloween party. Golden Elephant Thai restaurant, provided the food. The party was attended by many locals and foreigners.

China (Tianjin) International City Construction Expo

2004 China (Tianjin)International City Construction Expo opened at the Tianjin International Exhibition Center on 3rd, Nov. The expo included exhibitors from over ten countries. The exhibition include city planning and designing modules, landscape and gardening, etc.

The Small World Preschool and Kindergarten has been opened for two months. Children are taught English in interesting ways and the children benefit from a stimulating environment.
