The time limit for declaration of Exported goods
Shippers of exported goods should make a declaration to Customs twenty-four hours before final loading. Those having special Customs permits to the contrary due to extenuating circumstances are exempted, as according to Chinese Customs Law.Regulations governing Customs time constraints of exported goods exist in order to leave Customs a period of time to prepare the examination and taxation paperwork, and to maintain regular freight order procedures. The declared goods are normally loaded within 24 hours, except in special circumstances, i.e. fresh food that needs to be delivered urgently, or shipments needing to catch a ship's sailing date, etc.
Export & Import Goods Declaration Venue:
Export and import goods declarations should keep to following three rules according to the present Custom Law Regulations:
1) Imported border rules
Imported goods should be declared to Customs by consignee or attorney at the point of entry and should deal with relevant import Customs procedures at that time. Exported goods should be declared to the Custom by the shipper or their attorney at the point of exit and deal with relevant export Customs procedures at that point.
2) Transfer Custom Transportation Rules
If there is a surplus batch, differences in quality, inside packaging or other issues on imported and exported goods, import goods can set up a Customs destination venue again by dispatcher or their attorney application; export goods can be declared at the Customs loading point in order to expedite import and export Customs procedures. Customs can appoint their personnel to assist with transportation needs, if necessary.
3) Designation Site Rules
The company should declare to the appointed Customs official and transact related import and export Custom procedures. All this must be done according to Customs requirements regarding the use of special transportation (cables, pipelines, etc.) to transport imported and exported goods. |
